Senior IT Procurement Officer

Job Description:
To manage the entire procurement lifecycle related to the Information Technology Department.
Act as a Senior Buyer for the IT category.
Key Accountabilities of the role:
IT Procurement & Vendor Management:
Receive RFQs/RFPs from IT requesters, solicit proposals from vendors, communicate and negotiate with vendors.
Attend meetings with senior stakeholders and vendors.
Develop a procurement plan with end-users.
Create contracts for all engagements and negotiate terms and conditions with vendors.
Generate purchase orders and issue them to vendors for execution and delivery.
C coordinate between the IT department and Vendor Management and Contracting Procedure (VMCP) for vendor registration, vendor account updates, etc.
Initiate supplier performance management (SPM) for all engagements.
E ensure that all open purchase orders are closed.
S support vendors with pending payments by coordinating with requesters and finance departments.
E leverage SAP Ariba (RFP, Contract Workspace, Reverse Auction) to achieve optimal utilization.
M maintain proper and intact vendor
communication
at all times.
F adhere to VMCP policies and procedures and support line managers in resolving audit points.
Work as a subject matter expert (SME) to provide suggestions to enhance processes and achieve cost savings.
Accommodate all IT-related procurement requests in a timely manner to avoid delays.
Act as an SME in all meetings and interactions with internal and external stakeholders.

Financial & Contract Approval Management:
Lead contract drafting, review, and execution with internal and external stakeholders.
Manage and monitor the Contract Database.
E ensure that procurement files are properly archived.
Special Tasks:
Provide assistance to all internal customers (other categories managed by VMCP), perform other tasks as required (attend meetings, participate in calls, prepare reports, etc.).E nsure that good controls are maintained in all department-related functions and inform the Department Head of any issues raised within the department.
Specialist Skills / Technical Knowledge Required for this role:
Must have experience in IT procurement or be an IT professional.
Previous experience:
P referably CIPS qualified or holding active membership.
Banking experience is preferred.
