Senior Irrigation Engineer
We are looking for an exceptionally talented Senior Irrigation Engineer to join our site team on a major public realm development in Diriyah, which includes a series of iconic and neighborhood parks, open spaces, and over 55 kilometers of streetscape. The objective of the program is to create a vibrant, inclusive environment that enhances livability, accessibility, and community well‑being.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Plan, design, and oversee construction of irrigation projects for distributing water to agricultural lands.
- Plan and design irrigation fixtures and install fixtures to meet required specifications.
- Direct, through subordinate supervisors, construction of irrigation systems such as dams, canals, and ditches, taking into account soil type, climate, water supply, return flow, and other factors affecting irrigation requirements.
- Conduct research on soil drainage and conservation problems, applying civil engineering knowledge.
- Identify complex problems and review related information to develop, evaluate options and implement solutions.
- Manage own time and the time of others.
- Apply knowledge of laws, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, government regulations, executive orders, organization rules, and democratic political processes.
- Listen to and understand information and ideas presented verbally.
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
- 10+ years of related field engineering experience.
- Broad general engineering background with project‑engineering experience.
Desired Skills
- Professional registration (may also be required).
- Proven ability to perform in a supervisory/leadership role.
- Thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations.
- Proficiency with current engineering technology and appropriate software applications on projects.
