Senior HVAC Engineer Jobs in Doha, Qatar at –
RESPONSIBILITIES
Understand the project scope of work, budget, and schedule, particularly related to HVAC / Plumbing and Building Services Design.
Develop layouts, schedules, and control schemes for the project. Perform HVAC calculations using software such as Elite & HAP.
Perform pump head and duct pressure drop calculations.
Prepare HVAC design criteria and ensure familiarity with ASHRAE and international standards.
Prepare and review engineering studies, design drawings (such as HVAC & Plumbing Layouts), and documentation including specifications for HVAC / Plumbing systems and materials.
Conduct Material Take-offs for HVAC and Plumbing Systems.
Design safe, technically accurate, and cost-effective solutions for refineries, chemical plants, petrochemical plants, and oil & gas facilities.
Ensure compliance with applicable specifications and standards.
Coordinate with other in-house departments.
Review vendor information related to equipment selection.
Identify training needs and provide training to junior engineers.
Assist in developing project documentation and design data records.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of 10 years’ experience in design.
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Familiarity with quality control systems in engineering design.
Thorough knowledge of engineering practices, economic principles, calculation methods, design details, international codes and standards, procedures, and specifications.
Awareness of applicable codes and standards (ASHRAE, IMC, IPC).
Proficiency with Windows file management, Microsoft Office, Outlook, Micro Station, AutoCAD, Autodesk REVIT, and Navisworks.
Experience in the oil/gas, hydrocarbon, refinery, offshore, or infrastructure industries, recognized as a specialist in a specific engineering field on large to mega projects.
Familiarity with Green Building concepts and LEED requirements for sustainable building design.
