Job Summary :
The Senior Financial Accountant plays a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the Group Finance Function, including month-end, quarter-end, and annual closing processes. This role also contributes to the implementation of new financial processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
As part of an evolving best-in-class financial and business control framework, the Senior Financial Accountant will help optimize commercial processes, reporting requirements, and compliance across the international group. Additionally, you will be instrumental in transforming the finance function by driving process improvements, automation, and operational efficiencies.
Job Description :
Prepare monthly Management Accounts and financial reports.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in Xero.
Collaborate with various departments for periodic financial forecasting to meet financial requirements.
Prepare and issue client invoices, ensuring timely follow-ups for collection.
Create and manage purchase orders (POs), obtaining necessary approvals.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations, including filing statutory accounts and tax returns.
Coordinate with external auditors for timely completion of audits.
Maintain a comprehensive document management system for financial transactions.
Automate routine tasks using financial and operational systems.
Conduct audits of gift cards/e-code issuance.
Review and sign off on all accounting entries.
Assist the finance team in developing financial models to support the sales team with proposal pricing and margin analysis.
Work closely with the Technology Team to ensure accurate data extraction from platforms and automate reporting.
Collaborate with the Data Analytics Team to analyze business trends and financial insights.
Prepare and present a weekly finance update for Sunday team meetings.
Manage accounts payable and receivable processes.
Perform other finance-related tasks as assigned by the Senior Financial Accountant or Line Manager.
Necessary Technical / Functional Skills :
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (master’s degree preferred).
Proven experience (5+ years) in a financial accounting role.
Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards (IFRS/Odoo).
Proficiency in financial software (e.g., Xero, SAP).
Advanced Excel skills and experience with data analysis.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience in working with cross-functional teams.
High attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
Professional certifications such (CMA) (CFA) CFM) is a must.
Proficiency in both English and Arabic (spoken and written) is required
