The Arabic Coffee Man is responsible for preparing and serving traditional Arabic coffee (Qahwa) to clients, guests, and employees. This role requires proficiency in making authentic Arabic coffee, following the cultural etiquette, and ensuring a high standard of hospitality. The Arabic Coffee Man will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized service area and ensuring that all equipment is properly handled.
Key Responsibilities:
Arabic Coffee Preparation:
Brew traditional Arabic coffee using high-quality coffee beans and spices, such as cardamom and saffron, following the UAE’s cultural norms and traditions.
Prepare and serve coffee using the traditional Dallah (coffee pot), ensuring that the coffee is freshly brewed and served at the correct temperature.
Maintain the correct proportions of coffee to water and adjust the strength of the brew based on customer preferences.
Serving and Hospitality:
Serve Arabic coffee to clients, employees, and guests in a respectful and culturally appropriate manner, adhering to traditional hospitality practices.
Serve coffee with dates or other traditional accompaniments, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience.
Greet guests politely, offering coffee in an organized and timely fashion, and ensure that guests are served according to proper etiquette (such as serving the eldest guest first).
Maintain the highest standard of professionalism and etiquette in every interaction with guests and clients.
Customer Engagement:
Be knowledgeable about the significance of Arabic coffee and its role in the UAE culture and be able to explain this to clients or guests upon request.
Ensure customer satisfaction by monitoring the preferences of the guests and adjusting the coffee accordingly.
Equipment Handling and Maintenance:
Maintain and clean all coffee-making equipment, including the Dallah, coffee cups (Finjan), grinders, and other tools required for service.
Ensure that the coffee preparation and serving area is neat, organized, and well-maintained at all times.
Stock and replenish supplies of coffee beans, spices, and related items in a timely manner.
Adherence to Health & Safety Standards:
Follow all health and safety guidelines for food and beverage preparation, ensuring hygiene and cleanliness.
Ensure that all coffee-making and serving practices align with the company’s safety protocols.

Administrative Tasks:
Maintain inventory of coffee beans, supplies, and equipment.
Report any issues regarding the quality of ingredients or equipment malfunction to the appropriate department.
Skills and Qualifications:
Proven experience in preparing and serving traditional Arabic coffee, preferably within a hospitality or facilities management setting.
Strong understanding of Arabic coffee traditions and cultural hospitality, particularly in the UAE.
Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with guests and clients.
Attention to detail in coffee preparation and service.
Ability to work in high-pressure environments, especially during events or busy service hours.
Basic knowledge of health and safety standards related to food and beverage handling.
Professional appearance and demeanor in line with UAE hospitality standards.
Fluency in Arabic and English (knowledge of other languages is a plus).
