We are currently looking for an experienced, detail-oriented, and commercially driven Senior Estimator & Quantity Surveyor (QS) to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in cost estimation, quantity surveying, tender preparation, cost control, procurement support, and commercial management across exhibitions, interior fit-out, joinery, and event projects.
Job Purpose
- Responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, BOQs, tender submissions, and commercial evaluations for exhibitions, interior fit-out, joinery, and event projects.
- Ensure projects are priced competitively while maintaining profitability and alignment with company standards.
- Support management with quantity surveying, contract administration, cost control, value engineering, and commercial risk management throughout the project lifecycle.
- Act as a key link between Estimation, Procurement, Operations, Project Management, and Finance teams to ensure commercial success and project profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, BOQs, and project requirements.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, quantity take-offs, and BOQs for exhibitions, interior fit-out, joinery, and event projects.
- Analyze project scope and identify commercial risks, exclusions, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
- Coordinate with Procurement and Operations teams to validate material and labor pricing.
- Prepare detailed commercial proposals, tender submissions, and pricing schedules.
- Conduct value engineering exercises to improve project profitability without compromising quality.
- Support contract review, commercial negotiations, and bid clarifications.
- Monitor project costs against approved budgets throughout project execution.
- Prepare variation orders, change requests, and cost impact assessments.
- Evaluate subcontractor claims, payment applications, and commercial submissions.
- Assist Project Managers with cost forecasting, budget tracking, and financial reporting.
- Maintain and update historical cost databases and pricing benchmarks.
- Analyze project profitability and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Ensure alignment between estimation, procurement, production, and project execution requirements.
- Prepare monthly commercial reports and management summaries.
- Monitor market trends, material pricing fluctuations, and supplier performance.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, contractual requirements, and industry standards.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field.
- 7–10 years of experience in Estimation and Quantity Surveying.
- Minimum 3–5 years of UAE experience in exhibitions, interior fit-out, joinery, construction, or event projects.
- Strong experience in tendering, commercial management, and cost control.
- Proven experience handling large-scale commercial and turnkey projects.
- Experience with FIDIC contracts and contract administration is an advantage.
