Senior Environmental Engineer Jobs in Al Wakrah, Qatar at Mott MacDonald
Mott Mac Donald is currently recruiting a Senior Environmental Engineer for one of our WWTP projects in Qatar.
Key responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to:
Having previous experience in designing and reviewing pump station and STW projects within the city, including environmental impact assessments.
Reviewing and commenting on the Environmental Management Plan for the construction of the Project Assets, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
Reporting hazards that may affect safe, timely, and within-budget project completion, and recommending mitigation strategies.
Reviewing the Environmental Management System certification and providing feedback to the Authority.
Monitoring and reporting deviations from the Environmental Management Plan during construction.
Auditing safety and environmental protection measures for compliance with standards.
Managing and reviewing multidisciplinary project inputs, assessing design criteria, and checking plans and specifications for accuracy and completeness.
Reviewing and commenting on contractor and consultant submissions.
Having knowledge of Qatar environmental legislation (preferable).
Performing design duties and other related tasks as directed.
Candidate specifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited university, with professional qualifications from a recognized international institution.
Post-graduate experience as a design engineer with a focus on pump stations and STW or similar projects, in coordination with stakeholders and government agencies.
Fluent in English, with strong written and oral communication skills.
Proficiency in design software is mandatory.
Computer skills are essential.
Experience working in the Gulf region is required.
