The Senior Engineer – Piping
Flexibility
will be responsible for conducting piping
flexibility
analysis using CAESAR software and overseeing pipe supporting activities for Offshore Oil & Gas Fixed Platform projects for Qatar Energy.
This role involves ensuring the integrity and reliability of piping systems by analyzing stress and supporting requirements to meet project specifications and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Perform piping flexibility analysis using CAESAR software to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
Review piping stress analysis reports and recommend design modifications as necessary to optimize piping layouts and support configurations.
Collaborate with engineering teams to develop piping support strategies that meet project safety, operational, and maintenance requirements.
Provide technical guidance on pipe support selection, including hangers, anchors, and supports, considering factors such as thermal expansion, vibrations, and equipment movements.
Conduct site surveys and inspections to verify piping support installations and assess field conditions affecting piping flexibility.
Prepare technical documentation, including stress analysis reports, support specifications, and design calculations.
Coordinate with other disciplines, such as structural, mechanical, and process engineers, to ensure integrated design solutions.
Participate in design reviews and provide input to enhance piping system reliability and performance.
Ensure compliance with project schedules, budgets, quality standards, and HSE requirements related to piping flexibility and support activities.
Education
Engineering Degree (Mechanical, Civil, or relevant discipline).
Certifications / Specialization / IT Skills
Specialization in Piping Stress & Support Engineering.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word is required.
Experience
Minimum of 8 years of experience in piping flexibility analysis using CAESAR software.
Technical Knowledge
Demonstrated expertise in piping flexibility analysis using CAESAR software, with a minimum of 8 years in this field.
Strong knowledge and experience in pipe supporting activities, including the design and selection of supports, hangers, and anchors.
Experience in Oil & Gas and/or Offshore Fixed Platform projects, particularly with clients like Saudi Aramco, ADNOC, or Qatar Energy.
