Position: Senior Engineer – Operations Technology (DWC )
Position Summary
Senior Engineer – Operations Technology (DWC, Dubai) (Grade – 13, Senior Engineer – Operations Technology). Join our team at Dubai World Central (DWC) and drive significant impact in a global logistics powerhouse. This role involves deploying and leveraging advanced operational and automated systems to shape future performance in the Middle East logistics hub. Please note that the job will close at 12am on the posting close date (17-Jul-2026).
Preference will be given to UAE Nationals, Residents and/or candidates with valid work visas.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Advisory:
Provide expert technical advice and counsel to senior and executive management on emerging operational technology trends, practices, opportunities, and risks. - Automation & Innovation Leadership:
Drive the analysis, interpretation, and strategic application of complex operational data to influence optimal business decisions, with a core focus on automation and advanced operational systems. - High‑Impact Project Leadership:
Lead and influence high‑impact, cross‑functional projects and initiatives, translating strategic vision into tangible, successful operational deployments. - Future‑Oriented Strategy:
Proactively drive strategic planning for the adoption of next‑generation operations technology, supporting teams to achieve optimal, future‑proof results.
Qualifications
- Experience:
A minimum of five to seven years of progressive experience in a planning and engineering environment, with a demonstrable core focus on automation processes and the adaptation of advanced technology within a dynamic operational setting. Experience with in the logistics or supply chain industry is highly advantageous.
- Strategic Acumen:
Exceptional ability to think strategically, conduct sophisticated analysis of complex operational and technical information, and translate critical business needs into effective, automated operational solutions. - Technical Expertise & Mindset:
Solution‑Driven – a proven track record of developing and deploying robust technical solutions. Independent Thinking – the capacity to innovate and make sound, autonomous technical decisions. Process Automation Champion – demonstrated success in process automation and a relentless passion for finding innovative ways to boost operational efficiency and optimize workflows using technology. - Education:
A bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer sciences, complemented by proven exposure to and application of IT principles for the development and management of advanced operational and automated systems.
- Preference: UAE Nationals, Residents and/or candidates with valid work visas. Those who have given interviews in last 6 months for same position need not apply again.
