Responsibilities
- Monitor and evaluate AGC performance and Member States’ response following system disturbances
- Analyse HVDC operation, including DRPS and Frequency Control, and identify any malfunctions
- Monitor system inertia and overall system performance
- Review and validate ancillary services status
- Verify the performance of protection and control schemes (RAS, RVCS, UFLS)
- Conduct post-event analysis following system disturbances and tripping events
- Investigate the operation of protection systems and identify root causes
- Ensure accurate recording of outage events, including detailed timelines, and proper documentation
- Follow up on recommendations from operational and technical studies
- Perform gap analysis of SOPs and ensure implementation of audit recommendations
- Ensure compliance with operational procedures and safety policies.
- Review the black start restoration plans.
- Audit the drills that have been conducted.
- Evaluate the drills and lesson learnt.
- Audit the switching sequences after completion from ICC.
- Ensure all switching steps are reviewed and approved by at least two ICEs
- Ensure all changes are formally documented (no informal or handwritten updates)
- Review outage records and ensure proper archiving
- Support and review operational audits related to ICC activities, systems, and operations
- Follow up on audit findings and ensure corrective actions are implemented
- Coordinate with Asset Management on pending or overdue operational actions (e.g., LOAs).
