Overview
The Senior Electrical Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems and equipment across resort facilities and assigned operational zones. The role covers low-voltage (LV) panels, MCC, SMDBs, DBs, lighting systems, power outlets, isolators, and related infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Install, service, and repair electrical systems including LV panels, SMDBs, DBs, MCC, lighting fixtures, sockets, isolators, and control devices.
- Execute planned preventive maintenance (PPM) programs and maintain accurate maintenance records.
- Respond promptly to electrical faults, complaints, and emergency breakdowns; diagnose and resolve issues efficiently.
- Conduct routine inspections, testing, and fault-finding to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, riser diagrams, and technical schematics for installations and troubleshooting.
- Coordinate with HVAC, plumbing, civil, and other departments to complete multidisciplinary tasks.
- Support inventory control, stock audits, and spare parts requisition to ensure availability of critical components.
- Maintain proper stock levels of electrical consumables and materials.
- Comply with permit-to-work systems, lockout/tagout procedures, and UAE electrical regulations.
- Contribute to energy conservation initiatives and recommend system improvements where applicable.
- Participate in emergency response procedures and after-hours callouts as required.
Requirements
- High school diploma with technical certification in Electrical Engineering or related trade.
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in electrical maintenance within hospitality, residential, commercial, or large facility environments.
- Strong knowledge of electrical distribution systems, LV panels, MCC, and safety protocols.
- Proficiency in using electrical testing and diagnostic tools.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and electrical schematics.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with UAE electrical regulations and international standards (e.g., NFPA, IEC) is an advantage.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Physically fit to perform manual tasks in indoor and outdoor environments.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, weekends, and emergency callouts as required
