The Senior Electrical Technical Engineer is responsible for the engineering design, technical review, calculations, coordination, and preparation of electrical engineering deliverables. The role ensures all electrical systems are designed and coordinated in accordance with project specifications, authority regulations, consultant requirements, and international standards. Key Responsibilities – Review IFC drawings and contract specifications. – Perform load calculations, voltage drop calculations, short circuit calculations, cable sizing, earthing calculations, lightning protection calculations, generator sizing, and UPS sizing. – Prepare and review electrical shop drawings, power layouts, lighting layouts, small power layouts, emergency lighting layouts, earthing layouts, lightning protection layouts, SLDs, riser diagrams, and as-built drawings. – Coordinate with BIM and drafting teams. – Prepare panel schedules, circuit schedules, and review electrical load distribution. – Select electrical equipment including transformers, MDBs, SMDBs, DBs, MCCs, ATS panels, capacitor banks, generators, UPS systems, cable trays, and busbar trunking systems. – Prepare material submittals and review vendor technical offers. – Prepare RFIs and respond to consultant technical comments. – Coordinate with procurement regarding approved materials. – Support QA/QC inspections and technical compliance. – Coordinate with utility authorities and project stakeholders. – Ensure compliance with IEC, BS Standards, UAE Fire & Life Safety Code, and local authority requirements. Software Skills – AutoCAD – Revit MEP – Navisworks – ETAP – Dialux Evo – Microsoft Office – Bluebeam – BIM 360 Experience Requirements – Minimum 8 years in MEP contracting. – Experience in residential, commercial, mixed-use, and infrastructure projects. – Strong knowledge of UAE electrical authority requirements. – Experience preparing engineering calculations, technical submissions, and shop drawings. – Experience coordinating with consultants, contractors, and utility authorities.
Pay: AED12,000.00 – AED16,000.00 per month
