Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Electromechanical contracting company in the UAE.
The ideal candidate should have strong experience in Electrical MEP works, project execution, site supervision, technical coordination, and project management, with a proven track record in delivering electrical works according to project requirements, specifications, and schedules.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise electrical works from mobilization through project completion.
- Review electrical drawings, specifications, BOQs, and project requirements.
- Coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and other MEP disciplines.
- Supervise site activities and ensure electrical works are executed according to approved drawings and specifications.
- Monitor project progress, manpower, materials, and site requirements.
- Coordinate with the estimation, procurement, and project teams when required.
- Review and coordinate shop drawings, material submittals, and technical documents.
- Ensure compliance with applicable UAE standards, authority requirements, and project specifications.
- Conduct site inspections and ensure proper quality of installation and workmanship.
- Identify technical issues and provide effective engineering solutions.
- Prepare progress reports, technical reports, and other project documentation.
- Attend site meetings and coordinate with consultants and project stakeholders.
- Ensure projects are completed within the required time, cost, and quality standards.
- Support testing, commissioning, inspections, and project handover.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 7–10 years of relevant experience in the UAE.
- Strong experience in Electrical MEP contracting and project execution.
- Good knowledge of electrical systems, installations, testing, and commissioning.
- Strong understanding of electrical drawings, specifications, BOQs, and technical documentation.
- Experience working with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Good knowledge of UAE construction practices and authority requirements.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership and site management capabilities.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
- UAE driving license is an advantage.
- Candidates currently available in the UAE are preferred.
Preferred Experience
Experience in commercial buildings, residential projects, villas, warehouses, high-rise buildings, and other MEP contracting projects will be highly preferred.
