Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Electrical Engineer – BIM to join our team in Doha, Qatar. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in electrical design engineering along with advanced BIM capabilities, particularly in Revit MEP. This role involves leading electrical design, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring compliance with international standards and local authority regulations.
Key Responsibilities1. Electrical Engineering Design
- Design LV/MV electrical power distribution systems including single-line diagrams, load calculations, cable sizing, and protection coordination
- Develop switchgear and panel designs (MDB, SMDB, DB), including busbar sizing, fault level calculations, and short circuit analysis
- Perform indoor and outdoor lighting design using Dialux/Relux, including emergency lighting systems
- Design fire alarm, PA/VA, and life safety systems in compliance with NFPA 72 and local authority regulations
- Develop ELV and ICT systems including CCTV, access control, structured cabling, IPTV, BMS integration, nurse call, and building automation systems
- Conduct power quality analysis including harmonic studies, power factor correction, and generator/UPS sizing
2. BIM & Coordination
- Develop and manage 3D electrical models using Autodesk Revit MEP (lighting, power, containment, and ELV systems)
- Perform clash detection and coordination using Navisworks Manage
- Participate in BIM coordination meetings and resolve multidisciplinary clashes
- Ensure compliance with BIM Execution Plans (BEP) and standards including LOD 100–400
- Work within Common Data Environments (CDE) such as BIM 360 / ACC or ProjectWise
- Create and customize Revit families for electrical systems and components

Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (B.Sc. / B.Eng.)
- Minimum 8–10 years of experience in MEP consultancy or electrical design
- Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on BIM/Revit MEP experience
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems design and BIM workflows
- Chartered Engineer (CEng / PE) preferred
- Autodesk Certified Professional (ACP) – Revit MEP is an advantage
- Prior experience in Qatar or GCC region is preferred
