Qiddiya Investment Company is seeking a Senior Director – Health & Safety to lead our safety initiatives within one of Saudi Arabia’s most ambitious entertainment projects. This senior leadership role involves overseeing the development, implementation, and ongoing enhancement of health and safety programs across all operations.
Your expertise will ensure our workplace adheres to the highest safety standards, fostering a culture that prioritizes the wellbeing of employees, contractors, and visitors. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a strong background in industrial safety and risk management.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the formulation and execution of health and safety strategies, policies, and procedures to meet organizational goals.
Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and hazard identifications to mitigate potential risks.
Develop and deliver training programs to promote safety awareness at all organizational levels.
Manage incident investigations, analyze data for trends, and implement corrective actions.
Coordinate with regulatory bodies and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Monitor safety performance metrics and report findings to leadership, supporting continuous improvement.
Promote best practices in health and safety across all projects and departments.
Assist project managers in integrating safety strategies throughout project phases.
Stay updated on industry developments, regulations, and safety technologies to implement innovative solutions.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health, Safety Management, Engineering, or a related field; a Master’s degree is advantageous.
15-18 years of relevant experience in health and safety management, particularly in large-scale projects.
Deep knowledge of applicable health and safety laws and best practices.
Proven track record in developing and implementing effective safety programs.
Exceptional leadership and management skills with the ability to influence across all levels.
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH are highly desirable.
Ability to operate effectively in a dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
