Senior Cybersecurity Operations Specialist
The job holder is responsible for ensuring the development of cybersecurity operations activities by monitoring, testing, identifying, and dealing with cybersecurity threats and incidents to protect WTCO from any cyber-attacks or threats.
Key
Activities:
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, practices, cost optimization, and productivity & efficiency improvement.
Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, rules, regulations, and standards within WTCO and related functions such as but not limited to (HC, HSSE, Risk, Cybersecurity, etc.).
Escalate problems to ensure case/issue is closed efficiently and in a timely manner.
Assess and develop the effectiveness of WTCO’s cybersecurity enhancement capabilities.
Identify technical vulnerabilities that may lead to a cyber breach based on simulated cyber-attack results, and remediate vulnerabilities on running systems, networks, and applications.
Develop penetration tests and vulnerability assessments of systems and networks periodically to validate WTCO’s resilience and identify weak areas, providing recommendations on actions to be taken.
Protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of WTCO’s data and information, in line with WTCO’s policies & procedures, and relevant regulations and legislation.
Protect information and technical assets from third-party and cloud computing by applying cybersecurity requirements of cloud computing and hosting.
Apply a cybersecurity incident response program as a plan of action that is developed based on anticipated risks and thorough post-event analysis.
Develop the identification and detection of cybersecurity events and threats in a timely manner and deal with them effectively to prevent or reduce negative impacts on WTCO’s operations.
Collect, analyze, and monitor cybersecurity events to detect cyber-attacks early, aiming to prevent or minimize their negative impacts on WTCO’s operations.
Perform all day-to-day cybersecurity operations on WTCO’s systems and ensure they are properly functioning in accordance with WTCO’s standards, procedures, and best practices.
Implement cybersecurity vendor assessments across WTCO and projects.
Implement cybersecurity operation requirements and ensure adherence to relevant regulations and legislation.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a relevant field.
