A Sr. Cost Manager – Pre/Post Contract [Buildings /Civil Works] is responsible for managing project costs to ensure projects stay within budget. The role requires the ability to accurately estimate costs, manage budgets, and produce detailed cost plans in accordance with international standards.

Job Description:

Conduct all stages of cost estimates and plans starting from the concept, schematic, and detailed design cost estimations to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

Collaborate with teams to develop comprehensive project cost plans.

Analyze cost data and trends to provide strategic insights.

Oversee the tender process, negotiate contracts, monitor expenses, mitigate risks, implement cost-saving measures, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Handle the post-contract stage during construction, including contract administration, payments, variations, and project closing.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field required; advanced degrees or certifications are preferred.

Minimum of eight (8) years in Cost Consulting/Estimating or similar experience required, preferably with large-scale construction project management experience.

Proficiency in cost estimation software such as CostX, Candy, or Win Est, as well as familiarity with project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project).

Professional level in contracts and contract administration, addressing day-to-day cost issues during the construction stage.

Excellent communication, negotiation, attention to detail, and teamwork abilities are essential.
