Senior Cost Control Engineer/ Manager (Engineering/construction) Jobs in Dubai at PFC Group
We are looking for an experienced Cost Control Manager with 7–10 years of experience in the UAE construction industry. A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is mandatory. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in project cost control, budgeting, forecasting, and monitoring.
Key Responsibilities
1. Budgeting & Forecasting
- Prepare and finalize project execution budgets promptly following tender handover.
- Monitor and maintain budget compliance by cross-checking project costs against Material Requisitions (MRs), productivity reports, and the purchasing system.
- Assist in forecasting project costs and identifying potential budget variances.
2. Cost Monitoring & Reporting
- Prepare and monitor weekly manpower productivity reports.
- Prepare and issue monthly project cost reports.
- Analyze cost variances and highlight potential cost overruns to management.
- Monitor project expenditures against approved budgets.
3. Daily Cost Control
- Verify Purchase Orders (POs) and Material Requisitions (MRs) against site records and approved requirements.
- Validate manpower and equipment requisitions through the ERP system prior to deployment.
- Ensure that all project-related costs are properly recorded, monitored, and controlled.
- Coordinate with project, procurement, commercial, and finance teams to ensure accurate cost reporting.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is mandatory.
- 7–10 years of relevant experience in the construction industry.
- UAE construction industry experience is required/preferred.
- Strong knowledge of construction project cost control, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
- Experience working with ERP systems.
- Strong analytical, reporting, and communication skills.
- Ability to identify cost variances and implement effective cost-control measures.
