Our client, a leading property development firm with international operations, seeks to appoint a Senior Commercial Manager to lead the commercial and financial management of the firm’s Qatar projects that comprise multiple high rise residential towers valued at USD2B in Doha, Qatar. This role seeks a candidate with aproven track recordin successful commercial and financial management of large scale commercial projects and who is business savvy and solutions focussed in their approach.
The proven performer we seek for this exceptional opportunity will be responsible for:
Management of a commercial and contract management team.
Commercially manage cost, revenue and procurement from tender through to project execution.
Financial management of projects including putting together bids for new work / projects.
Contract negotiation of bids and contracts.
Tender management.
Winning new business and exploring new avenues of activity.
Risk management and financial management.
Procurement, financial reporting and management of the supply chain.
Checking and verification of payments/invoices/variations.
The attributes we seek for this successful candidate are:
Degree qualification in Construction / Engineering / Quantity Surveying or comparable experience with a minimum of 10+ years’ experience in commercial construction specifically in high rise/towers.
Must have commercially led large scale projects.
Preference is given to those with international contracting backgrounds.
Excellentcommunication, interpersonal, networking, negotiating and relationship skills.
Strong commercial awareness and client liaison skills as well asteam leadership.
Candidates with experience working in an expatriate environment will be highly regarded.
