Job Summary
The Civil/Structural Engineer is responsible for overseeing the design implementation, construction, and structural integrity of civil works, including foundations, concrete structures, and key infrastructure elements. This role ensures that all civil and structural components adhere to engineering standards, safety regulations, and project specifications through detailed reviews, inspections, and coordination with site teams.
Key Responsibilities
Design Review & Implementation: Assess and approve structural designs, blueprints, and engineering calculations for compliance with project requirements.
Construction Oversight: Supervise site activities related to civil and structural works, ensuring proper execution as per design.
Safety & Compliance: Ensure all structures meet industry codes, engineering standards, and local building regulations.
Inspection & Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections, integrity assessments, and material testing to verify construction quality.
Project Coordination: Collaborate with architects, contractors, and site engineers to resolve structural issues and optimize designs.
Technical Reporting: Maintain comprehensive records, inspection reports, compliance audits, and structural assessments for documentation.
Problem-Solving & Troubleshooting: Address unexpected construction challenges, modifications, and risk mitigation in real-time.
Desired Candidate Profile
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum 5+ years in GULF as electrical site inspection (preferred)
Technical Skills: Proficiency in structural analysis software (AutoCAD, STAAD Pro, SAP
2000), material testing, and compliance auditing.
Certifications:Professional Engineer (PE), Chartered Engineer (CE), or relevant safety certifications.
Soft Skills: Strong analytical thinking, communication abilities
Experience with Airports, Metro, bridge construction, high-rise buildings, or large-scale infrastructure projects.
Knowledge of modern construction methods, seismic design principles, and sustainable engineering solutions.
