Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Civil Engineer, located in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE. The Senior Civil Engineer will be responsible for civil engineering design, planning, and managing stormwater projects. The role includes overseeing projects from conception through to completion, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.
Job Responsibilities (Civil, Industrial, Construction)
Project Management:
Overseeing all phases of civil construction projects.
Developing and managing project schedules and its implementation.
Ensuring projects adhere to quality standards, safety regulations, and legal requirements as per Indian/UAE government standards.
Managing and coordinating with subcontractors and other stakeholders.
Technical Expertise:
Deep understanding of civil engineering principles, construction methods, and materials.
Ability to interpret and analyze blueprints, drawings, and specifications, and calculate quantities.
Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Project).
Knowledge of soil mechanics, structural engineering, and site development.
Cost analysis and billing knowledge is a must.
Site Management:
Supervising on-site construction activities and ensuring efficient workflow.
Conducting regular site inspections to monitor progress and identify potential issues.
Implementing and enforcing safety protocols.
Problem-solving and decision-making to address on-site challenges.
Communication and Coordination:
Effective communication with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders.
Leading team meetings and providing clear direction.
Preparing and presenting project reports.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensuring that all construction activities comply with relevant building codes, environmental regulations, and safety standards as per Indian/UAE government standards.
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with a minimum of 15 years of experience.
Extensive experience in civil construction, preferably in industrial projects.
Proven track record of successfully managing civil construction projects.
Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of construction management principles and practices.
Proficiency in relevant software and tools.
