The duties and responsibilities of a Senior Buyer include:

Following up trends , benchmarking the brand with other similar category

Plan the Range Product line based on historical date and suggest new styles designs that could meet the customer profile.

Meet Stores on weekly basis and gather feedback from sales executive, store managers and create action plan

Ensure Replenishment happen to stores on timely basis ( to increase sell through)

Be part of the fitting seasons, to provide feedbacks on prints and production timeline

Prepare Critical path summary report that include ( Style Number, Fabric Composition, Bar Code #, Quantities, Cost, Color, etc.. and manage the Buying sheet) From Development to launch date

Be able to negotiate with supplier (prices & delivery dates)

Ensuring the placed quantities are accurate and can cover stores.

Placing orders based on required qty as per the performance, building RSP strategies , margin managements

Taking Mark down decisions with planners

Ensuring on time launches

Right product in right quality and on time shipments

Creating Purchase Orders on Time ( with the right information, Season, Price, Delivery date, payment terms)

Monthly sales analysis ( Sell Through, Stock Lifetime, Out of Stock reports, and replenishment plans)

Placing Orders with Suppliers as per the Merch Calendar

Meet the Gross Profit Margins assigned by the management

Work on Pricing, RSP and Exit Margin

Ensure all newly launched products are in the store and on the shop floor

Evaluate products that are performing and products that are not performing.

Evaluate products and initiate replenishment plans

Manage Deadlines and launch dates

Working with marketing to launch products

Coordination between Merchandising and Marketing (prepare the marketing plan ahead of the season).

Support head of Buying on range development to agreed plan and margin, making sure they are inline with agreed supply partners

Buy and develop ranges inline with agreed range and in line with business strategy

Complete regular price comp shops on our competitors to ensure we remain in line and highlight any changes or opportunities

Drives regular departmental product reviews, ensuring coordination across departments in terms of trends, looks and colour palettes.

Takes responsibility for maximising profit on the department through strong negotiation and development of global supplier relations;

Support with seasonal strategy contributing to team lessons learnt and SWOT

Update and manage the critical path weekly

Report exceptions to all channel launch dates to buyer on weekly basis

Manage Weekly Sales report and Sell Thru Management

Operates an effective and timely product sign off process, in line with the critical path and planning cycle;

Liaise weekly with direct team, merchandising and technical through garment approval stages and update critical path

Close collaboration with marketing ensuring timely delivery of photo shoot samples and collection launch according to critical path

Manage sample tracker and liaise with channels on handover

Work well cross functionally

Analysis data from stores and prepare weekly action plans.
