We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst with strong experience in digital transformation, enterprise systems, and financial services environments to help drive the successful delivery of modern technology platforms.

This role is ideal for a senior-level business analyst who can bridge business and technology teams, translate complex business requirements into structured functional specifications, and support large-scale digital initiatives across banking, financial services, and regulated environments.

You will work closely with business stakeholders, engineering teams, and product leaders to define requirements, support system implementations, and ensure solutions align with business objectives and industry best practices.

This is a freelance / contract, hybrid role supporting strategic digital transformation programs and enterprise platform development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a Senior Business Analyst supporting banking and financial services initiatives.
  • Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements through workshops, stakeholder interviews, and discovery sessions.
  • Translate business needs into clear functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria for engineering and product teams.
  • Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technology teams, ensuring alignment between business goals and technical implementation.
  • Facilitate requirements workshops, stakeholder discussions, and requirement validation sessions across cross-functional teams.
  • Support digital transformation initiatives, system enhancements, and process improvement programs across enterprise platforms.
  • Conduct AS-IS and TO-BE process analysis, identifying opportunities for operational efficiency and system optimization.
  • Support solution design discussions and ensure proposed solutions align with business objectives and industry best practices.
  • Assist with UAT planning, validation, and defect resolution, ensuring solutions meet business expectations before release.
  • Collaborate with delivery teams during implementation, testing, and release phases to ensure smooth deployment and stakeholder alignment.
  • Ensure clear documentation and traceability of requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Skills & Experience

  • At least 7–10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst supporting enterprise software delivery and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Proven experience working as a Senior Business Analyst in banking, financial services, or government environments.
  • Strong experience gathering and documenting business, functional, and non-functional requirements.
  • Solid understanding of end-to-end business and system processes, including enterprise platforms and digital applications.
  • Experience working on digital transformation, system implementation, or enterprise modernization programs.
  • Strong experience creating BRDs, FRDs, user stories, process flows, and functional specifications.
  • Experience facilitating stakeholder workshops, requirement validation sessions, and cross-team collaboration.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across business and technical teams.
  • Experience supporting UAT activities, testing coordination, and release readiness.
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and documentation capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently in a contract / consulting environment while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Preferred / Nice to Have

  • Experience working on AI-enabled platforms, automation initiatives, or data-driven systems.
  • Exposure to AI/ML environments, intelligent automation, or analytics platforms.
  • Experience working with Agile delivery environments and tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
  • Familiarity with process modeling tools (BPMN, Visio, Miro, etc.).
  • Experience supporting API-based systems, integrations, or microservices architectures.
  • Background in enterprise-scale or regulated environments such as banking, fintech, or government.
