This role focuses on senior-level audit & assurance responsibilities, delivering high quality audit services while managing engagements and staff, ensuring compliance with regulations and internal standards.
Responsibilities
- Build trust and credibility with stakeholders by understanding their expectations.
- Deliver high quality services with practical awareness of regulation and risk management.
- Obtain key statistics and industry facts before engagement begins.
- Adapt template referral instructions to outline scope of procedures and understand group audit structure.
- Liaise effectively with onshore and offshore Centers of Excellence to ensure accurate and complete task delivery.
- Track deliverables from component auditors, ensuring relevance and importance.
- Connect risks, controls, procedures and findings across the EMS file in a timely manner.
- Articulate audit quality milestones, demonstrate completeness, and explain their contribution to overall audit quality.
- Understand audit plan timings and offer challenges regarding earlier performance if appropriate.
- Prepare documentation by anticipating reviewer questions, distinguishing accounting judgments from auditing judgments.
- Build relationships beyond the finance function to better understand the entity’s business and maintain professional skepticism.
- Maintain awareness of engagement lifecycle risks, regulatory environment, and relevant practice protection policies.

Qualifications
- Degree in Accounting or a related field; graduate degree desired.
- 4+ years of experience in public auditing and accounting, preferably with Big Audit Firms.
- Supervise staff, inspect client financial records, compile and analyze data, prepare detailed audit reports, and resolve accounting research issues.
- Plan and manage engagements and people, ensuring deliverables meet work plan specifications and deadlines.
- International accounting qualification desired (CA, ACCA, or CPA); CA preferred.
- Fluent in English (reading, speaking, writing). Preference for bilingual candidates (Arabic/English).
