The Opportunity
A leading mixed-use developer is seeking a Senior Manager – Asset Management to oversee the financial and operational performance of a portfolio of hospitality and real estate assets. Working closely with senior leadership, the successful candidate will help maximise asset value through financial analysis, operator performance management, strategic planning and investment oversight.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor the commercial and financial performance of a portfolio of hospitality assets.
- Analyse budgets, forecasts, business plans and operating results, identifying risks and opportunities to improve returns.
- Develop financial models, investment appraisals, cash flow forecasts and business cases to support asset and capital investment decisions.
- Prepare executive-level reporting and performance presentations for senior management and investment stakeholders.
- Review hotel operator performance, ensuring compliance with management agreements and agreed business objectives.
- Support annual budgeting, forecasting, capital expenditure planning and asset repositioning initiatives.
- Conduct market research, benchmarking and competitive analysis to identify industry trends and commercial opportunities.
- Work closely with finance, development, legal and technical teams to align operational and investment strategies.
- Manage relationships with hotel operators, consultants and external advisors while representing ownership interests during commercial discussions and performance reviews.
- Support acquisitions, feasibility studies, strategic initiatives and long-term portfolio optimisation.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Hospitality, Economics or a related discipline (Master's degree advantageous).
- Approximately 5-8 years' experience in hotel asset management, hospitality consulting, real estate investment, corporate finance or senior hotel operations.
- Strong financial modelling and analytical skills, including valuation, forecasting and investment analysis.
- Solid understanding of hotel management agreements, hospitality KPIs, revenue management and owner reporting.
- Experience within luxury or upscale hospitality assets is highly desirable.
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; experience with business intelligence platforms is beneficial.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior internal and external partners.
- Commercially minded with strong analytical ability, attention to detail and the capability to manage multiple high-profile assets simultaneously.
