Role Summary:
Responsible for leading high-impact strategic analyses related to ArcelorMittal Tubular Products Al-Jubail’s growth agenda. The role supports the evaluation of organic and inorganic growth opportunities, delivering clear, data-driven insight to top management, and carries ownership of feasibility studies, strategic positioning assessments, and support for Board-level decision-making. The Senior Analyst is expected to frame problems independently, quality-control the work of Analysts, and manage external consultants and data providers on assigned workstreams.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Frame the problem, define the analytical approach, and structure the workplan for assigned strategic studies before analysis begins.
- Lead 1 to 2 concurrent strategic studies covering market, financial, and industrial feasibility.
- Analyse the company’s strategic fit and readiness for initiatives such as market entry, M&A, partnerships, and capacity expansion.
- Quality-control the analytical work and deliverables produced by Analysts, and coach them on structuring, modelling, and slide writing.
- Manage external consultants, research providers, and data vendors on assigned workstreams, including scoping, review of deliverables, and challenge of findings.
- Deliver clear, decision-oriented recommendations to the Manager and Director.
- Coordinate with internal experts to gather data and ensure alignment of analysis.
- Contribute to the 10-year strategic plan and budgeting process with scenario inputs.
- Prepare high-impact visuals and presentations for senior leadership and Board review.
Qualification & Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, economics, finance, business administration, or a related quantitative discipline from a recognised university.
- Master’s degree or MBA is preferred.
- Formal training in strategy, corporate finance, or valuation is a plus.
Experience:
- Consulting route: 3 to 4 years in a strategy consulting firm, including at least 2 years at Associate or Consultant level, or equivalent.
- Industry route: 5 to 7 years in corporate strategy, corporate development, or business planning, of which at least 3 years in a strategy-focused role.
- Either route is acceptable. Experience in industrial, manufacturing, oil and gas, or other capital-intensive sectors is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ownership of a full workstream end to end, from problem framing through to recommendation.
- Experience preparing executive-level presentations and supporting C-suite decision-making processes.
Skills:
- Strong leadership in managing analyses and driving autonomous workstreams.
- Solid expertise in strategic problem solving, financial modelling, market analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; confident in interacting with senior stakeholders.
- High proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel, with strong ability to turn complex content into clear outputs.
- Highly structured, analytical, and able to work under pressure.
- Proven ability to review and challenge the work of others, and to raise the quality of analysis produced by junior colleagues.
- Experience scoping and managing external consultants, research providers, and data vendors.
