Scope of Engagement
The Senior Analyst (Bilingual
– Arabic speaking) will serve as the primary point of coordination between Imkan and its subsidiaries, ensuring timely visibility into financial performance and operational execution.
Key responsibilities include:
- Financial Reporting: Own the monthly analysis of management accounts across all subsidiaries and flagging variances against budget.
- Performance Dashboards: Design and maintain a Group-level dashboard tracking KPIs per subsidiary (revenue, gross margin, cash position, headcount, capex) updated on a monthly basis.
- Cash Flow Monitoring: Monitor cash flow forecasts for each entity; escalated liquidity concerns with a recommended course of action.
- Operational Milestone Tracking: Track and report on key operational milestones, to ensure execution against business plans.
- Controls & Process Improvement: Identify control gaps, process inefficiencies, and governance weaknesses; propose remediation plans.
- Executive Reporting: Prepare concise monthly and quarterly subsidiary performance packs for executive review.
New Business Acquisitions & Joint Ventures
The analyst will support end-to-end evaluation of inorganic growth opportunities, from initial screening through to due diligence support and post-deal integration planning:
- Financial Modelling: Build and maintain financial models (DCF, NAV, comparables, etc.) to assess deal economics, returns, and sensitivities.
- Due Diligence Support: Coordinate financial due diligence work streams; review target financials, identify red flags, and summarise findings in structured diligence reports.
- IC Memo Preparation: Prepare investment committee memos and presentation materials for senior decision-makers.
- Deal Pipeline Management: Track and manage a pipeline of live and prospective opportunities in a structured deal tracker.
- Post-Acquisition Monitoring: Post-close: monitor integration KPIs and flag deviations from the acquisition business case.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Essential
- 5–8 years of experience in financial analysis, corporate finance, or FP&A within a multi-entity or group structure.
- Demonstrable experience managing financial reporting across multiple business units or subsidiaries simultaneously.
- Strong financial modelling skills; able to build 3-statement models from scratch.
- Hands‑on experience with M&A or JV transactions — from screening through due diligence.
- Ability to work with minimal direction and manage competing priorities across a diversified portfolio.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills (in English and preferably in Arabic); able to alter complex financial information for senior audience.
Preferred
- Professional qualification: CA, CFA, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent.
- Exposure to early‑stage or growth‑stage businesses, particularly subsidiaries in their first 1–3 years of operations.
- Experience across mixed‑sector portfolios (exposure to at least two of: contracting, construction, property management, marine or industrial).
- Familiarity with ERP or similar tools.
- Prior experience in a family office, holding company, private equity, or investment company environment.
Reporting Structure & Governance
The Senior Analyst will report directly to the Portfolio Manager and maintain day‑to‑day working relationships with subsidiary finance leads, operations managers, and external advisors as required.
