Intelligent Solutions has partnered with a global technology provider to hire a Senior Accountant for their Dubai, UAE team. The role involves overseeing various accounting functions, including transaction management, financial reporting, compliance, and analysis.
This position requires a solid understanding of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial systems, along with the ability to deliver actionable insights to support organizational goals. The ideal candidate will ensure the smooth operation of the accounting function and drive improvements in processes, controls, and reporting accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure accuracy and integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering financial transactions.
Maintain and reconcile subsidiary accounts, promptly resolving discrepancies.
Oversee the general ledger by consolidating subsidiary accounts, preparing trial balances, and ensuring reconciliation of entries.
Summarize financial performance through data analysis to prepare balance sheets, income statements, and other reports.
Perform variance analysis, identify opportunities for performance improvement, and address unfavorable variances.
Support external audits by organizing general ledger accounts and providing necessary documentation.
Monitor tax compliance, including preparing tax returns, calculating provisions, and staying updated on tax regulation changes.
Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Maintain data security through routine backups and data integrity standards.
Identify inefficiencies and implement enhancements to streamline workflows and ensure accuracy.
Collaborate with internal departments to align financial goals with organizational objectives.
Maintain confidentiality of financial and business information.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education
& Certification Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CA) is highly preferred.
Experience Minimum 8 years of progressive accounting experience, including transaction management, reporting, compliance, and analysis.
Industry-specific experience is a plus.
Top-tier background is a plus.
Technical Skills Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (SAP is a plus).Advanced Excel skills, including
financial modeling
and data analysis.
Strong knowledge of IFRS/local accounting standards and tax regulations.
Xactly experience is preferable.
Proficiency in MS Office applications.
