Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our Riyadh operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting background within the contracting, construction, or fit-out industry and be capable of independently managing day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, and compliance requirements. Experience in Letters of Credit (LCs), contract accounting, and auditing is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full spectrum of accounting operations, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Bank Reconciliation.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
- Maintain accurate accounting records in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Monitor project costs, job costing, and budget utilization for contracting and fit-out projects.
- Handle contract accounting, including revenue recognition and project-related financial transactions.
- Manage and monitor Letters of Credit (LCs), bank guarantees, and other trade finance activities.
- Prepare VAT returns and ensure compliance with Saudi tax and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with external auditors and support internal and statutory audit activities.
- Analyze financial data and provide recommendations to improve financial performance and cost control.
- Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with company financial policies.
- Support management with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Senior Accountant within the Contracting, Construction, or Fit-Out industry.
- Strong knowledge of project accounting and cost control.
- Hands-on experience with Letters of Credit (LCs), contract accounting, and banking transactions.
- Previous auditing experience or experience working with audit firms will be an advantage.
- Strong understanding of IFRS and financial reporting standards.
- Experience preparing VAT returns and statutory financial reports.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication skills in English; Arabic is an added advantage.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, CMA, or SOCPA is an advantage.
- Experience working in Saudi Arabia or the GCC.
- Previous experience in external or internal auditing.
- Immediate joiners will be given preference.
Pay: ﷼7,000.00 – ﷼10,000.00 per month
