Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our Finance Department in Amman. The ideal candidate will have 5 to 7 years of progressive accounting experience, with proven capabilities in financial reporting, payroll management, reconciliations, and compliance. This role requires strong technical accounting knowledge, the ability to work cross-functionally, and the maturity to support financial decision-making and process improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and timely entry of financial transactions
Review and manage accounts payable and receivable functions, including payment cycles, aging reports, and vendor/customer reconciliations
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards
Lead payroll processing and ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with labor and tax laws
Perform and supervise account reconciliations, including bank, intercompany, and balance sheet accounts
Support month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and adjustments
Assist with external audits, providing necessary documentation and analysis
Monitor and enhance internal controls to ensure financial accuracy and compliance
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures
Provide support and mentorship to junior accounting staff
Qualifications
5–7 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a group or multi-entity structure
Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards (IFRS preferred)
Proven experience managing payroll cycles and accounting system integrations
Proficient in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
High attention to detail, with excellent organizational and time management abilities
Fluent in English and Arabic, both written and verbal
Experience in audit support and internal control development is a plus

Education and Certifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
IFRS diploma or certification preferred
CPA, CMA, or other relevant professional certification is a strong advantage
