Role Objective
JOB CONTENT
Senior Accountant takes lead in executing and overseeing the accounting and reporting function facilitated by the strategic and operational decisions. Such role creates a strong partnership between the accounting function and the management with the goal to add value in the decision making. (please refer to the job description below)
2. Duties and Responsibilities
Operational:
1. Compile and analyze financial information to prepare financial statements including monthly and annual accounts
2. Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures
3. Ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met
4. Prepare financial management reports
5. Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close
6. Establish and monitor the implementation and maintenance of accounting control procedures
7. Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities
8. Continuous management and support of budget and forecast activities
9. Develop and maintain financial data bases
10. Financial audit preparation and coordinate the audit process
11. Ensure accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses
12. Analyze and advise on business operations including revenue and expenditure trends, financial commitments and future revenues
13. Analyze financial information to recommend or develop efficient use of resources and procedures, provide strategic recommendations and maintain solutions to business and financial problems.
MINIMUM EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent as per the Minimum Qualifications and Experiences matrix in PODC.
Experience:
A minimum of 4 years’ experience in the accounting field including financial reporting, financial data analysis and auditing or as per the Minimum Qualifications and Experiences matrix in PODC.
