Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to oversee the company’s daily accounting operations and ensure accurate financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with ERP systems (preferably Oracle EBS), excellent analytical skills, and a thorough understanding of IFRS. This role requires the ability to meet tight reporting deadlines while supporting management with financial insights and process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), and Fixed Assets.
- Prepare monthly financial reports in accordance with IFRS and management reporting requirements.
- Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Maintain the General Ledger and ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
- Monitor and control operating expenses and recommend cost-saving initiatives.
- Coordinate with external auditors, internal auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities during audits and inspections.
- Support management by providing financial reports, KPI analysis, budgeting support, and insights for strategic business decisions.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, IFRS, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Utilize Oracle EBS (or similar ERP systems) to manage financial processes and support system enhancements and process automation initiatives.
- Maintain organized accounting documentation and ensure all financial records are audit-ready at all times.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a senior accounting role.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting.
- Experience with ERP systems, preferably Oracle EBS (SAP experience is also acceptable).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and consistently meet reporting deadlines.
- Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent) is an advantage.
Pay: QAR8,500.00 – QAR9,000.00 per month
