We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Procurement Engineer to join our dynamic Tendering Department. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the procurement process for road and infrastructure projects across the UAE. This role requires a strong understanding of procurement principles and practices, with a proven track record of success in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Tendering and Bid Evaluation:
Actively participate in the preparation of tender documents, including scope of work, technical specifications, and commercial terms.
Conduct market research and identify potential suppliers for various materials, equipment, and services.
Analyze and evaluate bids received from contractors and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with tender requirements and identifying potential risks.
Prepare bid evaluation reports and present findings to relevant stakeholders.
Negotiate with suppliers to achieve the best possible commercial terms and conditions.
Contract Management:
Assist in the preparation and negotiation of contracts with suppliers.
Ensure compliance with contractual obligations by both parties.
Monitor contract performance and address any issues that may arise.
Manage contract variations and claims effectively.
Procurement Planning & Strategy:
Contribute to the development and implementation of procurement strategies for road and infrastructure projects.
Identify and mitigate potential procurement risks.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
Data Management & Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of all procurement activities.
Prepare regular reports on procurement progress and performance.
Utilize procurement software and databases to streamline processes.
Compliance:
Ensure compliance with all relevant procurement regulations and company policies.
Stay abreast of industry best practices and regulatory changes.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or related field)
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in procurement within the construction industry, with a strong focus on road and infrastructure projects in the UAE.
Proven experience in tendering, bid evaluation, and contract management.
Strong understanding of UAE procurement laws and regulations.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills (both written and verbal).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and relevant procurement software.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Fluency in English (Arabic is a plus).
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: AED1.00 – AED2.00 per month
