Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable
Process and manage all accounts payable transactions, including invoices, credit notes, and payments.
Ensure timely and accurate payment to suppliers and vendors.
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
Generate and analyze aging accounts payable reports to ensure timely payments.
Maintain accurate records of financial transactions in the accounting system.
Accounts Receivable
Manage the accounts receivable process, including invoicing, collections, and customer account management.
Prepare and send customer invoices and payment reminders, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
Monitor accounts for non-payment and delayed payments; follow up with clients as necessary.
Generate statements of account (SOA) for clients and review aged receivable reports for management.
Reconcile customer accounts and address any issues promptly.
General Duties
Assist in month-end closings and prepare necessary financial documentation.
Maintain accurate financial records and documentation in compliance with company policies and regulations.
Collaborate with the finance team to implement best practices in accounts management.
Provide support during audits and prepare necessary schedules and documentation.
Stay updated on trade insurance policies and regulations that may affect accounts payable and receivable processes.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Finance Manager.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
3-5 years of experience in accounts payable and receivable, preferably within the trading or related industry.
Proficient in accounting software (e.g., ERP systems, etc.) and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word).
Strong analytical skills with the ability to generate and interpret financial reports, including aging reports and SOA.
Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of UAE accounting regulations, tax laws, and trade insurance policies is an advantage.
