Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled Painting Inspector with 4-6 years of UAE-specific experience, preferably in Oil and Gas projects. The ideal candidate will ensure that all surface preparation, coating, and painting activities adhere to project specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements. This role demands expertise in inspection methods and compliance with UAE regulations and industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect surface preparation and application of coatings and paints, ensuring compliance with project specifications and international standards.
Verify that all materials and consumables meet quality requirements and are approved for use.
Conduct quality tests such as adhesion, dry film thickness (DFT) measurements, and holiday detection to ensure proper application of coatings.
Review and interpret project specifications, painting procedures, and manufacturer’s technical data sheets (TDS).
Oversee and monitor painting and coating processes to ensure compliance with UAE Oil and Gas industry requirements.
Document and report all inspection findings, including defects or non-conformities, and recommend corrective actions.
Collaborate with contractors, quality assurance teams, and other project stakeholders to resolve painting-related issues.
Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) during painting operations.
Stay updated with advancements in coating technologies, materials, and industry regulations relevant to UAE projects.
Required Qualifications and Certifications:
Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
4-6 years of UAE-specific experience as a Painting Inspector, particularly in Oil and Gas projects.
Certification in one or more of the following:
NACE Certified Coating Inspector (Level 1, 2, or 3)
BGAS-CSWIP Painting Inspector (Level 1 or 2)
FROSIO Coating Inspector Certification (Level 1, 2, or 3)
Strong understanding of UAE-specific standards and regulations for painting and coating in the Oil and Gas industry.
Proficient knowledge of industry standards, including ISO 12944, SSPC, and NACE guidelines.
