Amazon’s Transportation team is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to develop and implement a world-class security program for our transportation network, ensuring timely delivery and cost efficiency. Amazon is a globally recognized brand, distributing millions of products annually to loyal customers.
The SLP Manager – TBA, will partner with Sort Center & Delivery Centre Operations teams across various cities within a region to execute security policies and provide security services, safeguarding assets such as lives, inventory, buildings, equipment, data, and intellectual property. The Manager will work closely with regional and cross-functional teams, performing risk assessments, ensuring compliance, managing security systems, and leading security training programs.
Responsibilities include:
Perform risk assessments of sites and operational models, implementing mitigation measures.
Ensure compliance with company security policies and industry standards.
Oversee final testing and acceptance of security systems, including access control systems.
Develop and implement procedures and prevention programs to reduce losses and injuries.
Conduct security audits and address non-compliance issues.
Manage guarding vendors to meet service levels and performance standards.
Build and deploy security training programs.
Serve as the department’s security expert and liaison.
Address safety and security incidents, including workplace violence, and test incident response plans.
Track and report on key performance indicators.
Coordinate with support teams like Worldwide Operations Security, IT Security, and Network Engineering.
Utilize methodologies like Kaizen, Lean, and Six Sigma to improve processes and efficiency.
Basic Qualifications
Minimum graduation with 5+ years in investigative or loss prevention roles, preferably in a multinational environment, or 10+ years armed forces/law enforcement experience with 2+ years in corporate security.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Proficiency in MS Office and business metrics analysis.
Ability to perform under pressure, with attention to detail and stakeholder management skills.
Strong ethics and discretion.
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to collaborate effectively with facility leaders and departments.
Results-orientedleadership and project management experience.
Familiarity with databases like SQL, MYSQL, Access, etc., is a plus.
Experience with delivery stations, cargo handling, or transportation network security is preferred.
Security certifications such as CPP, PCI, CFE, etc., are advantageous.
