Floorworld Commercial is offering an exciting paid internship opportunity for a fresh graduate in Interior Design looking to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic, design-driven environment. This role is ideal for a creative, detail-oriented, and eager-to-learn individual with a passion for commercial interiors, materials, and space planning.
The internship provides real-world exposure to design projects, including mood board creation, material selection, client presentations, and design studio support. Successful interns may be considered for a full-time junior designer role upon completion of the program.
Key Responsibilities:
Design & Project Support
Assist in creating mood boards, concept presentations, and design proposals for commercial flooring projects.
Support sample selection and material sourcing, ensuring an organized and efficient design studio.
Participate in site visits, client meetings, and project planning discussions.
Research design trends, flooring materials, and innovative applications.
Assist in preparing technical drawings, 3D models, and design documentation as needed.
Studio & Client Engagement
Maintain and organize the design studio, ensuring all materials, swatches, and samples are up to date.
Support in organizing Lunch & Learn sessions and design workshops for clients and industry professionals.
Collaborate with the sales and marketing team to create visually compelling presentations.
Social Media & Marketing Support (Optional)
Assist in creating design-related content for social media, including project showcases and behind-the-scenes insights.
Capture and edit photos/videos of materials, installations, and design trends for digital platforms.
Qualifications & Skills:
Recent graduate with a degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
Basic knowledge of AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, or other design software (training provided).
Strong eye for aesthetics, materials, and color coordination.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Willingness to learn, adapt, and take on new challenges.
Passion for commercial interiors and material selection.
