Job Summary: We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and the ability to oversee the smooth transportation, storage, and delivery of goods. As a Logistics Coordinator, you will ensure that our supply chain operations run efficiently and cost-effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and coordinate shipments to meet delivery deadlines.
Communicate with suppliers, vendors, and customers to track shipments and resolve any issues.
Organize and maintain inventory records.
Ensure compliance with regulations and company policies regarding transportation and storage.
Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure timely handling of shipments.
Monitor transportation costs and make recommendations for cost-saving strategies.
Prepare and maintain shipping documentation (invoices, bills of lading, customs paperwork).
Track and update the status of shipments using relevant software or tracking systems.
Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., sales, procurement) to meet business requirements.
Resolve any transportation or delivery issues promptly.
Assist in the optimization of the supply chain and logistics processes.
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or transportation coordination.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite and logistics software.
Knowledge of transportation regulations and supply chain management.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
