As our school continues to grow, we are seeking an outstanding Assistant Primary Principal who is passionate about student success, staff development, and whole-school improvement. This is a key leadership role that will support the Primary Principal and Senior Leadership Team in driving the school’s strategic vision, enhancing teaching and learning, and fostering a culture of excellence across the primary phase. The successful candidate will also contribute to whole-school initiatives and actively engage with the wider school community.
Key Responsibilities
As Assistant Primary Principal, you will:
Provide strategic leadership alongside the Primary Principal to ensure high-quality teaching and learningacross the primary school.
Lead and support the implementation of curriculum development and instructional best practices that enhance student engagement and outcomes.
Oversee student progress, assessment, and intervention strategies, ensuring all students reach their full potential.
Play a key role in staff development, coaching, and mentoring, supporting teachers to refine their pedagogical skills.
Support the school’s pastoral and safeguarding systems, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
Foster strong relationships with students, parents, and the wider school community to promote collaboration and engagement.
Oversee day-to-day school operations, ensuring efficiency, policy compliance, and regulatory adherence.
Play an active role in the school’s senior leadership team, contributing to whole-school initiatives and strategic planning.
Experience & Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
A Bachelor’s in Education or a BA with a PGCE (or equivalent teaching qualification).
Fully Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
A minimum of three years’ experience in a leadership role within a primary school setting.
A strong understanding of the British curriculum and a proven track record in driving school improvement.
Demonstrated experience in staff development, coaching, and mentoring.
A passion for curriculum development, student achievement, and well-being.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster positive relationships across the school community.
A commitment to continuous professional development and growth in school leadership.
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
NPQLTD/LT or NPQSL.
A strong background in Foundation Stage and/or Key Stage One.
Experience or knowledge in implementing a school well-being framework and leading on staff and student well-being.
Expertise in leading and implementing curriculum initiatives, including knowledge of how Sustainable Development Goals drive cross-curricular links.
Experience in supporting or collaborating with Arabic and/or Islamic departments.
Previous experience working within the UAE or the Middle East.

UAE-based candidates will be invited for a school visit and leadership interview with the Senior Leadership Team.
Interviews will take place during the week beginning Monday, 17th March 2025.
