Duties and Responsibilities:
Building & Facilities Maintenance
- Carry out routine and reactive maintenance works across the school campus.
- Maintain and repair air conditioning (AC) systems, including basic troubleshooting, filter cleaning, and coordination with external contractors when required.
- Perform plumbing works, including repairs to leaks, blockages, fixtures, and sanitary fittings.
- Conduct electrical maintenance, such as minor wiring works, replacement of lights, sockets, switches, and fault identification (within scope and safety regulations).
- Attend to general repair works, including doors, locks, furniture, fixtures, flooring, ceilings, and minor carpentry tasks.
Health & Safety
- Ensure all maintenance works are carried out in compliance with school health and safety policies.
- Identify and report potential hazards or unsafe conditions promptly.
- Support emergency maintenance requirements and urgent repairs.
Preventive Maintenance
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities, equipment, and systems to identify maintenance needs.
- Assist in implementing preventive maintenance schedules to minimize breakdowns and disruptions.
- Maintain basic records of maintenance tasks and completed works.
Support & Coordination
- Support school events, classroom setups, and furniture arrangements as required.
- Coordinate with external contractors and service providers under the guidance of the Facilities Manager.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and management.
Qualifications:
- Technical diploma or relevant certification in HVAC, Electrical, Mechanical, or Building Maintenance (preferred).
- Proven experience in building or facilities maintenance, preferably within a school or institutional setting.
- Working knowledge of AC systems, plumbing, and electrical maintenance.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues independently.
- Basic understanding of health and safety practices.
- Good communication skills and a cooperative, team-oriented approach.
- At least 1-2 years of working experience in a similar role
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: AED2,500.00 – AED3,000.00 per month
