Curriculum Overview
Doha British School follows the National Curriculum of England, adapted to reflect Qatar’s culture, heritage, and values. The school provides a continuous learning journey from Early Years through to Sixth Form, combining academic excellence with strong pastoral care and a focus on personal growth. Across all stages, the curriculum is designed to be relevant, rich, and challenging, blending academic rigour with leadership, creativity, and global citizenship.
Requirements
- A recognised educational degree, such as a Bachelor’s in Education or an equivalent qualification.
- A certified teaching qualification such as a PGCE or QTS with an Early Career Teaching Certificate (the PGCE must be supported by a subject‑relevant bachelor’s degree).
- Master’s degree in Education or a related field (preferred).
- Leadership qualifications: advanced leadership training or qualifications such as NPQSL (National Professional Qualification for Senior Leadership) or equivalent (desirable).
- Exceptional subject knowledge, with extensive experience teaching the National Curriculum of England.
- Minimum four years of teaching experience (international experience is an advantage but not required).
- Experience teaching IGCSE, AS/A Level and International Baccalaureate (IB).
- A proven track record of delivering outstanding teaching and learning.
- A strong commitment to contributing to the wider school community through extracurricular activities.

This role will commence in September 2026. Staff are expected to be in-country by mid‑August for orientation and induction.
