Job Summary

The Scheduler is responsible for developing, maintaining, and monitoring project schedules to ensure timely completion of activities and efficient utilization of resources. The role involves coordinating with project managers, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to track progress, identify potential delays, and recommend corrective actions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, update, and maintain project schedules using scheduling software such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
  • Monitor project progress and compare actual performance against planned schedules.
  • Prepare and analyze critical path schedules and identify schedule risks.
  • Coordinate with project teams to collect progress updates and validate schedule information.
  • Generate weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, and schedule analyses.
  • Identify potential delays and recommend mitigation or recovery plans.
  • Assist in resource planning and allocation to optimize project execution.
  • Support project management in forecasting project completion dates.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide schedule-related updates.
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures, client requirements, and project specifications.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in project scheduling and planning.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong understanding of project planning, scheduling, and progress measurement techniques.
  • Knowledge of critical path method (CPM) and earned value management (EVM) is preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
