Job Summary
The SCADA Operator is responsible for monitoring, controlling, and operating SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems to ensure safe and efficient operation of plant, utility, or infrastructure systems. The role requires real-time system monitoring, fault identification, and coordination with field teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and control systems through SCADA interface in real-time.
- Track system performance, alarms, and operational parameters.
- Identify faults and coordinate with maintenance teams for resolution.
- Maintain logs, reports, and operational records.
- Ensure compliance with operational procedures and safety standards.
- Respond to emergencies and system alerts promptly.
- Support system testing, maintenance, and upgrades when required.
Qualifications
- Diploma / Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or related field.
Experience
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience as SCADA Operator or similar role.
- Experience in utilities, water treatment, power plants, or industrial systems preferred.
- GCC experience is an advantage.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of SCADA systems and control systems.
- Understanding of PLC, HMI, and instrumentation systems.
- Ability to analyze system data and alarms.
- Basic computer and reporting skills.
