Description UNIT NAME Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
- • Convalescing baby up to 28 days post-conceptual age
STAFF CATEGORIES
PRIMARY PATIENT DIAGNOSES
- Continuous cardiorespiratory monitoring and advanced neonatal life support.
- Care of neonates receiving Invasive/ non-invasive respiratory support
- Assist with invasive procedures, e g. paracentesis, thoracentesis, suprapubic
- catheterization, chest tube, UAC/ UVC/ PICC/ Arterial line insertion
- Assist with retina of prematurity examination
- Care for newborns enrolled in Bone Health Program
- Care for newborns receiving Phototherapy
- Provide palliative care to newborns on comfort care status.
