SAP Functional Consultant – Payroll & Time
We are seeking an experienced SAP Functional Consultant – Payroll & Time to join our HCM team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the configuration, implementation, and support of SAP Payroll and Time Management modules. This role involves working closely with HR, business stakeholders, and technical teams to ensure accurate and efficient payroll and time processes aligned with organizational goals and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the configuration and support of SAP HCM Payroll and Time Management modules.
Analyze business requirements and translate them into SAP solutions for payroll processing, time evaluation, and related reporting.
Handle end-to-end implementation activities including requirement gathering, blueprinting, configuration, testing, go-live, and support.
Ensure legal compliance with payroll and time rules specific to the relevant geography (e.g., country-specific schemas and rules).
Maintain payroll schemas, PCRs, wage types, time infotypes, and work schedules.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams for integrations with Finance, Benefits, and Time Recording Systems (e.g., Kronos, Success Factors).
Resolve issues related to payroll runs, retroactive accounting, tax reporting, and time evaluation.
Conduct user training and create process documentation.
Support system upgrades, enhancements, and change requests.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in HR, IT, or related field.
5+ years of hands-on experience with SAP HCM Payroll and Time Management.
Deep understanding of payroll schemas, PCRs, time evaluation rules, and off-cycle payroll processing.
Strong knowledge of country-specific payroll configuration (e.g., US, UK, GCC, or relevant localization).
Experience in full-cycle SAP implementations and support environments.
Familiarity with integration points between Payroll and Finance.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
SAP HCM Certification (Payroll and/or Time Management).
Experience with SAP Success Factors Employee Central Payroll is a plus.
Knowledge of cloud-based time and attendance systems.
Familiarity with HR compliance, audits, and reporting.
