Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Project Manager with expertise in interior design project contracting. The ideal candidate will oversee the planning, execution, and completion of high-end interior design projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and a deep understanding of interior construction, procurement, and client management.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Execution:
Develop and manage project timelines, budgets, and work schedules.
Coordinate with designers, architects, contractors, and vendors to ensure seamless project execution.
Review and approve design plans, materials, and construction schedules.
Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and quality standards.
Client & Stakeholder Management:
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication and alignment with project goals.
Manage client expectations, provide regular progress updates, and address any concerns proactively.
Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to maintain a smooth workflow.
Procurement & Budget Management:
Oversee material selection and procurement, ensuring cost efficiency without compromising quality.
Track project expenses and control costs to stay within the approved budget.
Negotiate contracts with suppliers, subcontractors, and service providers.
On-Site Supervision & Quality Control:
Conduct site visits to monitor progress, resolve issues, and ensure adherence to design specifications.
Identify and address potential risks or delays, implementing effective solutions.
Ensure high-quality workmanship and attention to detail in all aspects of the project.
Reporting & Documentation:
Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including contracts, approvals, and progress reports.
Prepare and present project status reports to management and clients.
Conduct post-project evaluations to assess performance and identify areas for improvement.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in project management within the interior design or construction industry.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and procurement processes.
Proficiency in project management tools: MS Project, AutoCAD, SketchUp
Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
Strong ability to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines and quality expectations.
Knowledge of building codes, health & safety regulations, and contract management.
Exceptional communication and client management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
PMP certification is a plus.
Experience with luxury or high-end interior projects.
Understanding of sustainable and innovative design practices.
