The Export Sales Manager is a key leadership role responsible for driving international sales growth and expanding presence in global markets. This position requires a strategic thinker with a proven ability to develop and implement successful export sales plans, build strong customer relationships, and achieve revenue targets. The Export Sales Manager will be responsible for market analysis, sales strategy, customer acquisition and retention, budget management, and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning & Execution:
Develop and implement comprehensive export sales plans aligned with the company’s overall strategic objectives and designed to achieve defined sales and revenue targets.
Identify and prioritize international target markets based on market potential, strategic alignment, and growth opportunities.
Monitor market performance and make adjustments to plans as needed.
Market Research & Analysis:
Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify global market trends, analyze customer needs, and assess competitor activities.
Evaluate market potential, assess market entry strategies, and make recommendations to senior management.
Customer Acquisition & Relationship Management:
Identify, target, negotiate with, and secure new customers in international markets.
Cultivate and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing international customers, distributors, and partners.
Provide exceptional customer service and address inquiries, issues, and concerns promptly and professionally.
Budget Management & Performance Reporting:
Develop and manage the export sales budget, ensuring responsible allocation of resources and cost optimization to achieve sales and revenue objectives.
Prepare and deliver regular reports on sales performance, market trends, forecasts, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to senior management.
Analyze sales data and provide insights to improve sales effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Collaborate closely with product development, marketing, and operations teams to align product offerings, marketing strategies, and operational processes with market demands and customer needs.
Work with logistics teams to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of products, while ensuring compliance with international trade laws and export regulations.
Provide feedback on product performance, market requirements, and competitive landscape to inform product development and marketing strategies.
Compliance & Documentation:
Ensure all export activities comply with relevant international trade laws, regulations, and documentation requirements.
Maintain accurate records of sales, contracts, and customer interactions.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Trade, Marketing, or a related field is required. A Master’s degree is preferred.
Experience:
5+ years of progressive experience in international sales, preferably within the perfume/fragrance industry.
Proven track record of successfully achieving and exceeding export sales targets and driving revenue growth in international markets.
Skills:
In-depth knowledge of international trade laws, regulations, documentation requirements, and customs procedures.
Exceptional negotiation, communication (written and verbal), and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to speak multiple languages is a significant asset.
Strong presentation skills.
Ability to travel internationally as required.
Demonstrated leadership qualities and the ability to motivate and manage teams.
Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
