The Sales Manager – Fashion Retail is responsible for leading the sales team, driving revenue, achieving sales targets, and ensuring excellent customer experience across stores. This role focuses on developing sales strategies, monitoring performance, and coordinating with merchandising, marketing, and operations teams.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Target Management
- Achieve individual and store sales targets and KPIs
- Develop and implement sales strategies to maximize revenue
- Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance
- Analyze sales reports to identify opportunities and challenges
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, motivate, and supervise the sales team
- Conduct training and coaching to enhance sales skills and product knowledge
- Monitor attendance, performance, and adherence to company policies
- Conduct performance appraisals and implement improvement plans
Customer Experience & Service
- Ensure high standards of customer service and satisfaction
- Handle escalated customer complaints and issues professionally
- Maintain a positive shopping environment and customer engagement
Coordination & Operations
- Work closely with merchandising and marketing teams for promotions and visual displays
- Coordinate with inventory teams to ensure product availability
- Monitor store operations to comply with company standards and policies
Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare and submit sales reports, forecasts, and market insights
- Track competitor activity and suggest strategies to stay competitive
- Identify trends and provide feedback to management on product performance
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
- 3–6 years of experience in fashion retail sales, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or managerial role
- Strong understanding of retail operations, sales strategies, and customer behavior
- Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
