We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accountant to join our dynamic team in the Money Exchange and Remittance Industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial transactions, maintaining financial records, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, particularly in the context of currency exchange, remittance, and international financial transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Record-Keeping:
Maintain accurate records of all transactions, including remittances, currency exchanges, and fees.
Ensure that daily, weekly, and monthly accounting reports are generated and reviewed.
Reconciliation:
Reconcile financial discrepancies between remittance, exchange transactions, and the company’s financial systems.
Verify and reconcile bank statements, payment systems, and internal ledgers.
Transaction Analysis:
Review and analyze customer transactions for accuracy, identifying potential discrepancies or fraudulent activities.
Ensure all foreign exchange and remittance transactions are recorded and categorized correctly in compliance with regulatory standards.
Regulatory Compliance:
Assist in compliance with local and international financial regulations (e.g., Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Know Your Customer (KYC), and other regulatory requirements).
Prepare financial documentation for audits and ensure all documentation meets regulatory standards.
Financial Reporting:
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports.
Assist in the preparation of financial statements such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Currency Exchange Monitoring:
Monitor and record daily currency exchange rates and ensure accurate conversion calculations.
Track and report on exchange rate movements and their impact on company transactions.
Cash Flow Management:
Manage daily cash flow, ensuring adequate liquidity for smooth operations.
Monitor incoming and outgoing remittance payments and reconcile them to ensure consistency with the company’s financial records.
System Updates & Improvements:
Assist in the implementation and improvement of accounting software and tools used in the money exchange and remittance business.
Maintain and update accounting policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and ensure accuracy.
Education;
Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance
Additional certifications such as CPA or CMA are a plus.
At least 3-5 years of experience in accounting, with a preference for experience in the money exchange, remittance, or financial services industry in UAE
Familiarity with international remittance operations, foreign exchange, and related accounting practices.
Advance Excel Skills is must

Pay: AED4,000.00 – AED5,000.00 per month
