Overview: MNK Studios is looking for a Music Composer, Audio Engineer & Rehearsal Studio Technician to join our team. This role requires a well-rounded professional who can compose and produce music, handle recording, mixing, and mastering, and manage rehearsal studio setups. The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge of studio and live sound equipment, ensuring that rehearsals run smoothly for our clients.
Responsibilities
Music Composition & Production:
Compose, arrange, and produce original music for artists, brands, and media projects.
Adapt compositions for different formats, such as podcasts, commercials, and film scoring.
Work closely with musicians and producers to refine sound and bring creative visions to life.
Audio Engineering & Sound Design:
Record, edit, mix, and master audio for music, podcasts, and multimedia content.
Apply advanced mixing and mastering techniques to achieve a polished, professional sound.
Design soundscapes, Foley, and special audio effects as needed for various projects.
Rehearsal Studio Setup & Technical Support:
Set up and configure PA systems, microphones, instruments, amplifiers, and monitoring systems for rehearsals.
Assist bands and artists in achieving their desired sound during rehearsals.
Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues with the equipment.
Ensure all studio and rehearsal spaces are properly maintained and organized.
Collaboration & Studio Workflow:
Work closely with MNK Studios’ clients, artists, and producers to meet creative goals.
Manage project timelines and maintain organized session files.
Stay updated on industry trends and emerging music production technologies.
Requirements:
Proficiency in DAWs (Pro Tools, Logic Pro, Ableton, or similar).
Strong skills in composition, mixing, mastering, and sound design.
Knowledge of live sound reinforcement, PA systems, and backline equipment.
Ability to troubleshoot and maintain audio equipment.
Experience handling band and artist rehearsals in a studio setting.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Be part of a dynamic and creative studio environment with hands-on involvement in both music production and live rehearsal setups.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with film, gaming, or commercial media.
Knowledge of MIDI programming, virtual instruments, and spatial audio.
Previous experience in a professional studio or live sound environment.
